Trident announces the 5 Ton Goodman Battery Locomotive and the 26H Electro-Hydraulic Rockershovel

Manufactured to facilitate the use of narrower rail gauges in South America the Trident 5 ton Battery Locomotive offers a wide range of operational advantages.The physical size of the Locomotive enables its use in smaller haulages using small rail gauges from 457mm. The 75D traction motor used in the 5 Tonner is also raised above the wheels keeping it out of any water there may be in the haulage and also allowing for ease of maintenance. The 5 tonner uses a camtactor controller in its standard configuration but it can use a wide variety of Solid State controllers.See its specs here

The 26H Rockershovel represents a generational shift in Rockershovel technology. The 26H uses a electro hydraulic combination of power thereby allowing is use in areas where air supply may be limited or in use by other mining operations. Designed as a Rockershovel from the ground up the 26H is a robust design suited for extreme conditions. The system can also be retrofitted to existing fleets of 26B Rockershovels.
